Appointments

Students are seen by appointment only.

Before scheduling an appointment, students are encouraged to make sure the medical attention they’re seeking is necessary. If a student feels a professor or parent needs to talk with someone in the American Republic Student Health Center, the student will be required to complete and sign a “Medical Release of Information” form granting permission for the American Republic Student Health Center staff to speak with designated personnel.

Please note, our medical staff will not give notes or passes for missed classes.

What happens if you’re late to your appointment?

  • If you’re 5 minutes late, our staff will do our best to fit you in however, you may have to wait longer than expected.
  • If you’re 10 minutes late, you'll have to reschedule.

What if you need to cancel your appointment?

  • All cancellations MUST be made 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
  • Failing to do so 3 or more times within an academic year, you need to seek medical care elsewhere for the remainder of the year.

Payments / Fees

The majority of services from the student Helath Center are provided at no charge. Additional laboratory work and test cultures, as deemed necessary by the Health Center medical staff will be sent to the Broadlawns Medical Center laboratory. The American Republic Health Center does not submit fees for insurance billing/reimbursement.
