Collaborative Instruction in the Classroom

Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. in Olmsted TMR 132

Collaborative learning involves students working in peer groups or with an instructor. Leveraging technology can remove the need for physical proximity and time. This session will cover different resources available to facilitate this type of instruction. This session will focus Office 365 tools as well as other available resources across the web.

NOTE: Please bring your own laptop or other internet capable device. If you don't have a laptop or internet capable device, consider borrowing one from the laptop kiosk located in the lobby of Meredith Hall.

Project Management I

Have a project idea? Come learn when and how to submit your idea for review. We’ll share the technology project request review process, timing for reviews, and how to create both the Business Case and Return on Investment (ROI) documentation. We’ll end by sharing basic project management processes with you which will serve as the foundation for the Project Management 2 session coming in the spring. Participants will receive 1 hour of BUILD credit for attending this session.

Delve into learning about a multitude of student creation tools for assessing learning. Instructors will learn how to manage assignments, tests, and other assessments.  We will also look at some of the reporting options tied to assessments.

By the end of this session, you’ll know the key question types most often used, get some ideas on how to incorporate Qualtrics tools into your position, and where to go for assistance.
