Adams Leadership Institute Peer Mentors

Overview

Adams Leadership Institute (ALI) Peer Mentors serve as a role models to incoming student leaders, assisting them in building a community on campus. Peer Mentors play an essential role in the Adams Leadership Institute by serving as an ambassador to the program, while also facilitating a section of Adams 1, an eight-week introductory leadership training series, to a small group of incoming ALI students. In addition, Peer Mentors help their mentees learn and connect with resources across campus by identifying any student needs and making appropriate referrals as needed (e.g., academic advisors, academic support, personal support, learning abroad, research, etc.). In order to be eligible for this role, students must have successfully completed Adams 1 & 2 as part of the Adams Leadership Institute.

Compensation

The ALI Peer Mentor position is a paid student leadership role. Students selected for this role will be paid $10/hour with an anticipated three hours of work each week throughout the fall and spring semesters for a total compensation of approximately $1,000 each year ($500 per semester).

Application Cycle

Applications open for the ALI Peer Mentor role each year in March. Check back here for application instructions, job description, and hiring timeline.
