Spring Residence Hall Dates and Reminders

Spring Break:

All Residence Halls (Carpenter, Crawford, Herriott, Goodwin-Kirk, and Stalnaker) will be closed for Spring Break 2025. The halls will close Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 12:00pm and the halls will reopen Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 10:00am.  All students will need to vacate their room by the hall closing time.  Residents will not have access to their room until the halls officially reopen. No late departures or early arrivals will be permitted.

Jewett Hall will be open for temporary Spring Break housing:

• Those interested in this option can  contact(campsandconferences@drake.edu) for more information.
• There is no fee associated with staying, but students will need to sign up in advance.
• Spaces are limited, once full, other off campus options will need to be sought by the student.
• Students may be assigned with another random student requesting housing.
• There will be no campus dining service during this period.

Residents will NOT have access to their school year room during this time.

Residents should take all the items needed with them before the break period begins.

End of the school year:

• Carpenter, Crawford, and Stalnaker halls will close on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12:00pm.
• Herriott and Goodwin-Kirk (combination and upper-class halls) will close on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 5:00pm.
