Educational professionals that have already received a master’s degree in education can pursue a principal or superintendent licensure through Drake’s Specialist in Education program. Cohorts for this program start every fall. Classes are offered in a blended format and the program can be completed in less than two years. Graduates overwhelmingly feel prepared for a leadership role upon graduation thanks to experienced faculty, mentorship opportunities with practicing administrators, and simulated and hands-on learning experiences. Almost half of EdS graduates reported pursuing advanced job opportunities within a year of program completion. Graduates additionally reported career advancements with an average income increase of $30,000 or more.
