Jon N. Torgerson Scholarship Fund

The Jon N. Torgerson Scholarship Fund is designed to assist a Humanities major with demonstrated need to participate in a Drake-sponsored international travel seminar. To be eligible, the applicant must be majoring in an area of the Humanities, have at least a 2.0 GPA, and planning to enroll in a Drake-sponsored international study seminar.

The award is need-based, as determined by the Office of Student Financial Planning from the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The award is applicable only to international study courses. The recipient must agree to attend the Arts & Sciences Honors Convocation, where the scholarship will be awarded. This scholarship is provided by a generous gift from the Jon N. Torgerson family. Applications must sent to Megan Martin by the end of the fall semester.
