Little Free Pantries: 10 pantries around the Drake Neighborhood, including 2 on Drake’s campus (Olmsted Parking Lot and near the Sprout Garden on 30th and Carpenter). The Little Free Pantry motto is “Take what you need, leave what you can.” 

The Sprout Learning Garden and Food Forest: located on Drake’s campus on 30th and Carpenter. The garden hosts groups for various educational events, and is always accepting volunteers. Anyone who participates is able to take produce home from the garden!

Hope + Elim Church: serves hot meals Wednesdays from 5-6pm at 2500 University Ave Des Moines, IA. No ID needed - drive through for a hot meal and non-perishable goods.
