Student Responsibilities

• Self-identify as a student with a disability and provide appropriate professional documentation.
• Meet with an Access and Success team member to discuss reasonable accommodations.
• Respond to the Starfish to-do prior to each semester to renew accommodations.
• Connect with instructors at the start of each semester to review accommodation needs.
• Provide timely notice of accommodation requests and any changes in needs.
• Meet the essential requirements of their program or course of study.
• Coordinate exam accommodations with faculty well in advance of scheduled assessments.
• Follow established University and Access and Success procedures for requesting accommodations (e.g., alternative formats, interpreters).
• Notify Access and Success and/or the course instructor if accommodations are not being implemented or are not effective.
• Adhere to the University’s code of conduct, including expectations related to academic integrity and classroom behavior.
