Application Requirements
It's never been easier to apply. No application fee. No test scores. We know numbers don’t define you. Bright College takes a holistic approach to reviewing applications for admission.Deadlines: There are no application deadlines. Applications will be reviewed and decisions made on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Application: Submit the online application form. You can save your application and come back to it later, allowing yourself time to make sure the application tells your full story.
- Short Answer Questions: In the application, you will respond to two short answer questions.What one skill, talent, or attribute do you think sets you apart from others? Please tell us about a time when it was useful for you to be able to put that skill, talent, or attribute into action. (200-250 words recommended)Describe a time when you had to make changes in yourself to solve a problem, overcome an obstacle, or fix an issue. What did you learn about yourself in doing so? Please use a specific example with precise detail. (200-250 words recommended)
- One Recommendation: Your recommender should be a professional educator (teacher, counselor, coach, tutor, etc.) or a professional supervisor in a work setting. If you are not sure whether a recommender you have in mind is an appropriate choice, please email bright.college@drake.edu.
- Transcript: Ask your high school to send us your official transcript. Sending transcripts electronically is preferred. Your counselor can email a transcript to admission@drake.edu or mail transcripts to:Office of Admission
