Newman Civic Fellowship - This fellowship, sponsored by Campus Compact, recognizes and supports community-committed students who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges facing communities throughout the country. The fellowship is a one-year experience for students in which fellows have access to in-person and virtual learning opportunities, networking events, and mentoring.
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2020-2021 Fellow. To nominate a student, submit 1-3 paragraphs including information on the nominee's approaches to addressing the root causes of social issues. This may include involvement in public policy reform, community organizing, community-based research, social entrepreneurism, or other efforts to build the capacity of community-based organizations. Additionally, please include why you believe this person has the motivation and potential to addressing public problems and to contribute to a network of similarly committed students. Engaged Campus Awards - The Engaged Campus Awards are designed to recognize the achievements of students, faculty, staff, alumni, community organizations, and AmeriCorps members for their work advancing the civic mission of higher education through community engagement and partnerships that positively impact students and communities.
