Awards and Fellowships

Youth of the Year Scholarship: Have you completed at least 100 service hours in the past 12 months? One college student (under the age of 20 who will still be a student in 2019-2020) will receive a $500 scholarship. Applications are due March 1 by 4:30pm. All applicants are invited to attend a celebration and recognition event on March 28 from 6-8:30pm. Find the application at

Newman Civic Fellowship - This fellowship, sponsored by Campus Compact, recognizes and supports community-committed students who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges facing communities throughout the country. The fellowship is a one-year experience for students in which fellows have access to in-person and virtual learning opportunities, networking events, and mentoring. Julie Uram has been selected as the 2018-2019 Fellow - read about her here!

Engaged Campus Awards - The Engaged Campus Awards are designed to recognize the achievements of students, faculty, staff, alumni, community organizations, and AmeriCorps members for their work advancing the civic mission of higher education through community engagement and partnerships that positively impact students and communities. Nominations are due March 4, 2019. Principal Community Scholars - This program, sponsored by Campus Compact and Principal supports the leadership development of undergraduate students seeking a business or business-related degree. Students are selected through a competitive process to receive a $1,000 scholarship, participate in a civic leadership learning community, and complete a community-based experiential learning project. Congratulations to Natalie Davis who was selected as the 2018-2019 Scholar!
