Background:

Dr. Qureshi has 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience, 10+ years of experience in clinical pharmacy and drug development, 7+ years working as a pharmacist of record for both industry and NIH funded clinical trials. She holds an American Academy of HIV Medicine Certification. Dr. Qureshi started her career as an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, in 2002. She continued at Children's Memorial Hospital in various roles including as a NICU Clinical Pharmacist, HIV Clinical Pharmacist, and eventually, a Lead Investigational Drug Pharmacist for HIV. In 2014, Dr. Qureshi joined Bristol Myers-Squibb as a Medical Science Liaison, HIV. Then she became the Medical Science Liaison HIV/HCV/CMV at Merck in 2016. Still at Merck, Dr. Qureshi currently serves as the Regional Medical Scientific Director for HIV and SARS-CoV-2. She has completed various community service projects including serving as a volunteer pharmacist preceptor at the Hillside Medical Center in Punta Gorda, Belize, and at Little By Little Clinic in Gramothe, Haiti. Dr. Qureshi has received numerous awards and accolades throughout her career including an Award for Excellence in mentoring new hires and development of HIV core curriculum, an Inspire Award for demonstrating leadership in diversity and inclusion, and another Award for Excellence for collaborating on strategic imperatives project. Dr. Qureshi also received a Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Alumni Achievement Award in 2014.
