Drake pharmacy program ranks fourth among private schools in US News & World rankings

Drake University’s pharmacy program, part of the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, ranked in a fourth-place tie in the 2024 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools.” Drake’s score in the rankings was 3.1 on a 5-point scale.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings for pharmacy schools are based exclusively on ratings from academic representatives at schools of pharmacy across the U.S. Deans and other administrators from colleges and schools of pharmacy were surveyed for the 2024 rankings. In the overall rankings, which are dominated by large, public research institutions, Drake ranking was 49th out of 141 colleges and schools of pharmacy.

“This ranking recognizes our national reputation and the achievements of our talented pharmacy faculty, staff, students, and alumni,” said Chuck Phillips, dean of the college. “This provides further evidence that we are achieving our mission of preparing today’s learners to be tomorrow’s health care leaders.”

The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences provides an intellectually stimulating learning environment with collaborative learning among students, faculty, and staff. Graduates are liberally educated professionals who are dedicated to serving their clients, patients, profession, and community.
