BullD.O.G.S. in Healthcare is a program that will introduces you to careers in the health professions by educating you about opportunities in health sciences and inspiring you to explore different pathways. You will participate in hands-on laboratory experiences, educational sessions, and interactive discussions with students and faculty in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to understand how to best prepare for a career in healthcare. Special emphasis is placed on promoting careers in athletic training, occupational therapy, pharmacy and many others. The overarching goal of this program is to expose you to a wide variety of opportunities within healthcare and educate you about how you can best prepare for a career in the health professions.
Each summer we host an event for high school students that includes staying overnight in an on-campus residence hall for several nights. Our 2019 camp will be held on Thursday, July 25 through Saturday, July 27, 2019. BullD.O.G.S. in Healthcare takes place at Drake University and will include a number of activities that will help you learn about preparing for a career in the health professions. Due to the costs involved in providing an overnight experience on campus, there is a $200 fee for participating in BullD.O.G.S. in Healthcare.
