Stop by Human Resources on the third floor of Old Main to complete the I-9 process. You can access the I-9 form here or get a paper copy at HR when you come by. Here is a List of Acceptable Documents for I-9 required to complete the process. Please note, original documents are required by law—photocopies will not suffice.
To streamline your onboarding, we have compiled several required forms for you. The forms may be printed and completed prior to coming to Human Resources.

Declaration of Domestic Partner Relationship (to qualify for Drake University Plan Benefits)
To obtain your Drake ID card, swing by Student Services located in the Olmsted Center. You can also acquire a parking hang-tag, office keys and add funds to your ID card for purchasing items and meals.
Before you can access email, myDrake or other campus systems, you must change your default password and set up MFA. Here are Password change instructions or contact ITS at 515-271-3001 for assistance.
Please use this New Hire Checklist for Employees as your guide to make sure that you have completed/submitted all necessary employment forms and resources before you begin employment at Drake University.
In addition to the completed onboarding forms, employees are required to use direct deposit which is available online. Direct deposit instructions are provided in your welcome email. Please note, for your security, we require that employees are connected to the Drake University network to enter banking information.
Your first paycheck will be a physical check which will be mailed to your home address. If you prefer to acquire this paycheck in person, please contact Payroll at 515-271-3190.
Within your first 30 days, you will sign up to attend a New Hire Orientation by emailing drakehr@drake.edu. Information regarding Drake-sponsored benefits, wellness and the Drake community will be provided. Orientation will conclude with lunch.
