Faculty may apply for subvention grants of up to $1,500. These grants will contribute solely to lowering the purchase price of a book or other publication.
Applicants should provide a letter of request; a synopsis of the project; a publication contract from a reputable academic or university press; or academic imprint of a commercial/trade press; along with evidence of peer review. The Board will not consider requests when securing a subvention is a condition of publication.
Applicants should submit materials electronically to email@example.com.
Fall 2020: The Board will meet on the first Friday of each month in fall 2020, including Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6, and Dec. 4. Please submit funding requests one week in advance of any given meeting, to ensure consideration at that meeting. Spring deadlines fall on Aug. 28, Sept. 25, Oct. 30, and Nov. 27. In general, requests for retroactive funding will not be considered, but faculty may inquire with the Director if extenuating circumstances arise.
