Drake Law School and Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration offer an LLM in Compliance and Risk Management that responds to the growing need for employees to ensure that their companies are meeting government regulations and adhering to ethical standards.
Employers in highly regulated fields such as financial services, insurance, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, agribusiness, and utilities increasingly need people who can do the following:

With a combination of law and business courses as well as electives, Drake’s LLM in Compliance and Risk Management will equip students for careers in a variety of industries.
The 24-credit LLM in Compliance and Risk Management is designed for students who have earned their JD, LLB, or comparable law degree. Required courses are scheduled to accommodate working professionals with some online components.

Students will use their remaining 5-12 credits on their choice of elective courses offered through Drake Law School or the College of Business and Public Administration. Elective courses are available in the areas of health law, business law, agricultural and environmental law, and more.

Drake Law School offers various intensives throughout the year that can be combined with optional classroom work to qualify for one-half credit toward the Compliance and Risk Management Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
Attendees can receive 1 credit toward the LLM in Compliance and Risk Management for each two intensives they attend if they complete the academic requirements.
