Application Process

Balancing work, life, and school can be challenging. At Drake's Zimpleman College of Business, you'll find the flexibility you need to make your Masters of Accounting degree work for you. With entry points throughout the year and classes offered exclusively in the evening and on weekends, Drake makes it convenient for you to enroll, attend classes and complete your M.Acc. degree.

Application for Admission

Complete and digitally sign our online Application for Admission.

Résumé or Curriculum Vitae

A current professional résumé or curriculum vitae is required. Please include information regarding current and/or past employment history as well as professional development and internships completed.

Essay

A typed, one-page essay is required. The essay should provide details about how a graduate education at Drake University will help you reach your academic and career goals.

Letters of Recommendation

Two letters of recommendations are required. When selecting your references, choose individuals such as professors and employers who can attest to your potential for success in a graduate program. 

You will enter the names and email contacts for your two references into the online application. Your references will be contacted electronically with directions for submitting their letters of recommendation on your behalf.

Transcripts

Official transcripts from every college or university previously attended are required. Any college credit earned, even while in high school or at a community college, must be accounted for before your application can be reviewed.

If the institution offers digital transcript delivery, please have the official digital transcript sent to cbpa.gradprograms@drake.edu.

Official transcripts are designated as those coming directly from the University or College of attendance to Drake University.

Admission with Conditions

Admission with Conditions allows individuals to be reviewed for admission and begin graduate studies with a conditional requirement that must be completed successfully to progress in the program.

Students granted Admission with Conditions may enroll part-time and take up to nine credit hours of coursework to prove strong academic performance. Strong academic performance includes receiving a grade of B or higher in all courses. Students will be reviewed at the end of each full semester to confirm that the conditions of their admission have been met. The review will take place if a minimum of six credit hours, has been completed.
