Processing & Distribution
Each weekday, Drake Postal Operations processes incoming mail and packages from the USPS, Fed Ex, UPS and other carriers, and handles intercampus mail from various departments.
For the security and safety of your mail, we use large blue mailing bags, labeled with your department’s name, to transport most departmental mail.
Make sure that the people, businesses and institutions that regularly send you mail have your current Drake address information to ensure the most accurate and efficient delivery.
Daily Mail Processing & Delivery Schedule (M-F)

| 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. | Deliver processed and sorted mail on two morning routes (inner campus and outer campus). Outgoing and intercampus mail is also picked up on these routes. |
| 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. | Process mail and packages picked up during the morning routes for either outgoing mail or redistribution around campus. |
| 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | UPS and Fed Ex packages arrive at Drake Postal Operations and are processed through the Notifii package notification system. |
| 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.* | Deliver processed and sorted mail on afternoon route. Outgoing and intercampus mail is also picked up on these routes. |
| 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. | Process mail and packages picked up during the afternoon routes for either outgoing mail or redistribution around campus the following morning. |
