The following scholarship opportunities are available to counseling students. 

School Counseling

There are two endowed scholarships available for School Counseling students.

The Nesbit Scholarship, in honor of Dolores Nesbit, was established for students pursuing Secondary School Counseling. Students seeking Secondary School or K-12 school counseling are eligible. This scholarship is awarded semester by semester, is renewable. and covers approximately 50% of the total program tuition when renewed. Demonstrated success and plans for contribution to secondary school counseling field are expected for renewal. Scholarships are awarded after admittance to the program and students meeting the scholarship criteria will be contacted and encouraged to apply. 

The Forsyth Scholarship, in honor of James E. Forsyth, was established for students pursuing Elementary and/or Secondary School Counseling. Students seeking Elementary, Secondary or K-12 school counseling are eligible. Scholarships are awarded after admittance to the program and are renewable, covering a portion of semester tuition. Students meeting the scholarship criteria will be contacted and encouraged to apply. 

Rehabilitation Counseling

Scholarships are also available to students pursuing a specialization in Rehabilitation Counseling. These scholarships are offered through the federal government to scholars interested in working for public and not for-profit rehabilitation agencies.
