Pharmacy Student Registration Information

Professional pharmacy students register according to their class regardless of the total of credits completed. Pharmacy students, P1 - P3, will register at the following days/times:

  • Current P3 students will register on Tuesday, Oct. 30 @ 7 am
  • Current P2 students will register on Wednesday, Oct. 31 @ 7 am
  • Current P1 students will register on Thursday, Nov. 1 @ 7 am

It is your responsibility to track your degree progress and follow the registration policies and procedures.  Prior to registration you should review your curriculum guide and degree audit to determine the courses you need to complete next semester.

Reminder: All curriculum requirements must be competed by the end of your P3 year. You have 3 credits set aside in your P2 Spring semester and P3 Spring semester to complete your remaining Drake Curriculum/General Electives. If you are a P3 and have more than 6 credits of Drake Curriculum/General Electives remaining, please contact Sydni Jennings at sydni.jennings@drake.edu to discuss your summer course and cross-enrollment options.

Planning to Register for more than 18 credits?  If you need to register for more than 18 credit hours or more during registration, please complete the Over 18 Hours Request Form on the CPHS Forms Library prior to your registration day and time.

Planning to repeat a course, but do not need to repeat the co-requisite (i.e. lab or discussion section)?  Please contact Sydni Jennings at sydni.jennings@drake.edu, at least 24 hours prior to your registration day/time to obtain approval and the appropriate override, allowing you to register for the lecture or lab without the co-requisite during your scheduled registration time. Please include your Drake ID along with your request.

Registration for Labs/Discussions: Students may only register for one lab/discussion section. If a student registers for more than one lab/discussion section or registers for one lab/discussion section and waitlists in another, the student will be removed from BOTH lab sections.

To search for Professional Pharmacy Electives, log in to MyDUSIS, click on the Student Services and Financial Aid link --> Registration link --> Look Up Classes to Add. From the subject menu, select Health Sciences and Pharmacy. Approved Pharmacy Professional Electives are noted in the Attribute column on the far right of the Look Up Classes to Add results screen.

P1 Students:

Special registration instructions for PHAR 132 and PHAR 133:
Both PHAR 132 and PHAR 133 have discussion sections along with the lecture courses. The lecture sections and discussion sections are set up as co-requisites. This means students will need to register for 4 CRNs at the same time on the Registration Add/Drop screen in MyDUSIS to avoid an error message. You will need to register for both PHAR 132 (CRN 6468) and PHAR 133 (CRN 3232) along with one of the following discussion section combinations:

  • 10 am PHAR 132D with 11 am PHAR 133D (CRN 3550 and CRN 3556)
  • 11 am PHAR 132D with 12 pm PHAR 133D (CRN 3552 and CRN 3557)
  • 12 pm PHAR 132D with 10 am PHAR 133D (CRN 3553 and CRN 3555)

All PharmD Students
