The Drake University Honors Program is open to students from all academic departments and undergraduate programs.
The Honors program offers a variety of courses each semester. Most of these courses are cross listed with departments and programs across the university, and must be approved by the Honors Advisory Board. Approved Honors courses must be interdisciplinary, discussion-based, and reading and writing intensive. Occasionally "Honors-only" courses are offered that are open only to Honors students. Honors courses are enrollment capped at 20 students in order to facilitate discussion-based pedagogy, and more importantly, to promote student engagement and learning.
Below is information about Honors course offerings and categories. Please refer to the course catalog listings for semester/term specific course information. Information in the Registration system supersedes information you will find here.
