Christopher Decker Scholarship

The Christopher Decker Scholarship is intended to recognize future pharmacists who emulate Chris’s legacy of innovation, collaboration, mutual respect, positivity, and his call to action to be “Difference Makers.” Student applicants must be enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy degree program at a school of pharmacy located in Iowa or Wisconsin, graduate between 2023-2026, and be an Iowa Pharmacy Association or Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin member to apply. A student is eligible to receive one Christopher Decker Scholarship during their time in pharmacy school. The application document must be downloaded and sent as a Word doc to info@pswi.org

Coulee Region Pharmacy Association Scholarship

This award is open to anyone attending an accredited school of pharmacy during the 2016-2017 academic year, but preference will be given to local residents or students who are related to one of our members. The Coulee Region Pharmacy Association is a local independent group from the La Crosse, WI area that is made up of pharmacists and technicians and serves as a forum to address local health care issues and support the community. Our members practice in a variety of setings from chain and independent pharmacies to hospital and managed care. As for further details regarding the schoarlship, it will be a minimum of $500 dollars. Coulee Scholarship Application 2016-17

CVS Health/NMF Pharm.D. Scholarship

Supports African American studens who are in financial need and display a commitment to practicing in a community setting, this award provides $2,500 to one student pursuing a doctoral degree in pharmacy. Application opens April 24.

 

CVS Health Minority Scholarship for Pharmacy Students

This scholarship is intended to promote and support a diverse population of student pharmacists who will care for an increasingly diverse population of patients as part of a health care team.

Express Scripts Scholars Program
(Dual Degree)

Scholarship Opportunity for Dual Degree Students
Applications are now being accepted for the Express Scripts Scholars Program. The program will provide four (4) $10,000 scholarships each year to enrolled dual degree students. The awarded students are given $2,500 per semester for four consecutive semesters, totaling $10,000 over two years. For application instructions, please visit the AACP Web site. Lou Carta Scholarship

The Southwest Iowa Pharmacists Association, based in Council Bluffs, makes this scholarship available each year. The scholarship is named after Carta, now deceased, who was an area pharmacist and longtime board member of the association. $1000 will be awarded as one individual scholarship applicable to the fall 2018 term. Those eligible for the scholarship are students currently enrolled in their second year or above in a school of pharmacy who have a minimum GPA of 2.5.  Each applicant's hometown must be within approximately 100 miles of the Council Bluffs/Omaha metropolitan area. A committee appointed by the association will conduct personal interviews to select the recipient.

NCPDP Foundation The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs Foundation Scholarship Fund is awarding three $1,000 scholarships to support students seeking to learn more about pharmacy's role in information technology and information technology's role in improving patient safety and health outcomes. Novo Nordisk Pharmacy Practice Diabetes Scholarship Program P3 or P4, designed to engage students in projects that could lead to a decrease in the morbidity and mortality and improved the quality of life of persons with diabetes

PCCA Student Scholarship Contest Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) holds an annual scholarship contest for students to share their vision for compounding pharmacy. Prizes include registration, airfare, and accommodations to the PCCA International Seminar and the ACT Legislative Conference.  
Pharmacists Mutual Community Pharmacy Scholarship Program To be eligible, pharmacy students must be a P2 or P3 and plan to practice in:
• an independent or small chain community pharmacy, or
• an underserved geographic or cultural community, preferably in an independent or small chain community pharmacy.

Interested students will submit an electronic application, college transcript, letter of recommendation from a faculty member or advisor, and an essay describing their interest in practicing in an independent or small chain community setting or in an underserved community. Their essay should describe steps they have taken to prepare themselves for their chosen practice setting. The essay, reference information and transcript must be submitted electronically. students can access the scholarship application and submit the required documents via the Pharmacists Mutual website.

Fink Family Scholarship The American Society for Pharmacy Law (ASPL) established the Fink Family Scholarship to support a pharmacist who: (1) is attending law school; (2) demonstrates academic, professional, or service-related achievement; and (3) is most likely to use a law degree to further such achievement and to contribute to the benefit of society. The $5,000 scholarship is a one-time, non-renewable award and will be administered by ASPL. The recipient will also receive a one-year complimentary student membership in ASPL. May 
Ken Baker Memorial Scholarship The American Society for Pharmacy Law (ASPL) awards the Ken Baker Memorial Scholarship to support students in pharmacy and pharmacy law to attend the annual ASPL Developments in Pharmacy Law Seminar where they will: 1) attend up to 15 hours of continuing education sessions; and 2) network with industry professionals from across the country.  Funding for this scholarship is subject to vary year to year based upon the operational funds available to ASPL.
