In order to be admitted to any of the B.F.A. Theatre Arts degree programs or the Musical Theatre minor, and to be considered for a Departmental Fine Arts scholarship award, prospective students are required to audition/present their portfolio either on campus at the Drake Theatre Audition Day or the National Unified Theatre Auditions. We strongly encourage student to apply and seek admission to Drake University BEFORE auditioning (we will not accept any student into our program until applications are completed with Drake University).
Palmer House Hilton, 17 E. Monroe St. Chicago.
Meeting room: Sandburg 4
Please sign up for a 10 minute appointment by filling out the forms below.
We will be seeing walk-ins as well. Please note that we have the same audition requirements as any of our on-campus auditions. See links below:
To register for an audition/interview please fill out the On Campus audition form.
Also, we will have representatives at The International Thespian Festival in Lincoln, NE in June 2019. We will be observing the auditions and portfolio reviews at this festival.
At the ITF we will be holding callbacks; however, we will not be making offers for admission into any of the BFA programs at these festivals.
Students will need to officially apply to the University and audition for a spot in the BFA program.
