BLUEprint for Belonging: Community Conversations

Various words of affirmation, support, justice, inclusion all in different colors under banner

The entire first-year class participated in an interactive community conversation over the last month. In five different sessions, first-year Bulldogs talked directly with one another about their personal relationship to Drake’s DEIJ mission, the places they have the most to learn, the benefits to growing a campus climate of true belonging, and they made personal commitments to continue to grow.

The conversations were creative and connective. And they were used by local artist Nathan Wright to create this beautiful piece of art displaying the Class of 2026’s commitment to belonging.

Thank you to the hundreds of first-year students and dozens of Drake staff and faculty who took part in this dialogue.
