Zimpleman College of Business Scholarships

The Zimpleman College of Business offers over 35 different donor-funded business scholarships for entering high school or transfer students starting in the fall enrollment term only. The various donor-funded scholarships range from $1,000-$5,000 per year and will be applied to undergraduate tuition. To be eligible, entering first year or transfer students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Zimpleman College of Business. Applicable majors include:

  • Accounting
  • Actuarial Science
  • Business Law
  • Data Analytics (Business)
  • Economics
  • Finance
  • Information Systems
  • International Business
  • Management and Organizational Leadership
  • Marketing
  • Open Business 

Application Instructions

All Zimpleman College of Business donor-funded scholarships can be applied for by submitting one comprehensive scholarship application.

  • Students interested in the School of Actuarial Science scholarships also should use the Zimpleman College of Business unified application, below, as well. Make sure you indicate your major in actuarial science to be considered.
  • The Business Dean Team is a separate opportunity with its own separate application, due February 19, 2026.

The priority deadline to apply for any of the donor-funded Zimpleman College of Business Scholarships is January 22, 2026.  The following must all be submitted by the January 22 priority deadline to be considered:

A FAFSA is not required, but is strongly recommended as some donor-funded scholarships are based on need. (If you have not done so already, you may submit a FAFSA at fafsa.gov and use Drake's code 001860.)

Notification of scholarship awards will occur by March 20, 2026 for those who submit their application by the priority deadline. The scholarship application will stay open until May 1, 2026 or until all funds have been awarded.


Undergraduate scholarships are available only to students enrolled at the undergraduate level, for up to 4 years total or until a Bachelor's degree is earned (whichever comes first). Students entering one of Drake's joint undergraduate/graduate degree paths should refer to Program-Specific Policies to understand which years are designated as undergraduate-level for billing and financial aid purposes. Scholarships will renew automatically if all renewal requirements are satisfied.
