Cady Cup Tournament

Support Drake Law School by competing in a golf tournament against the University of Iowa College of Law - and raise funds for Iowa Legal Aid!

The annual Cady Cup Tournament is an event for law school graduates, faculty, staff, and students of Drake Law School and the University of Iowa College of Law. All are invited to participate—regardless of skill level—to show support for their law school and raise funds for Iowa Legal Aid. The Cady Cup, formerly known as the Dean's Cup, was renamed in 2019 in honor of the late Iowa Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Cady, LW'78.

The event includes two formats: match play and best shot. A lawyer who is not a graduate of either law school may participate in the best shot format by declaring temporary allegiance to one of the two schools at the time of registration.

The registration fee is partially tax deductible.

2020 Cady Cup Tournament-CANCELLED

We are sorry to announce that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Cady Cup golf matches will not be held in 2020. Ensuring everyone’s safety is the primary concern; and we know you understand. The committee is proud to have provided a first-class event for these 15 years, and we are committed to continuing that legacy. We’ve scheduled next year’s event for May 17, 2021, at Echo Valley Country Club, just south of Des Moines.
