Whether you major in the arts or simply enjoy them, opportunities are all over the Drake campus, nearly everyday. 

Find modern art, design, and photography exhibitions from both student and guest work at the Anderson Gallery. Or catch a performance by the acclaimed Jazz I Ensemble at Patty and Fred Turner Jazz Center. If you’re looking for theater, visit the Performing Arts Hall at our Harmon Fine Arts Center, which features student-directed theater performances and mainstage musicals, as well as Drake Symphony and Concert Band performances.

Guest Speakers and Lectures

Broaden your horizons and learn something new. At Drake, there is always a steady stream of international events that explore and celebrate other cultures. 

The Principal Center for Global Citizenship hosts thought-provoking guest lectures while The Martin Bucksbaum Distinguished Lectureship brings renowned speakers—including presidents and best-selling authors— to the Knapp Center. Additionally, our student-run cultural organizations  hold a wide range of special events each year.
