Dr. Wang earned her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Iowa State University, specializing in non associative algebras. She majored in the Integral Liberal Arts Program and minored in Mathematics at Saint Mary’s College of California.

After earning her B.A., she completed the Post-Baccalaureate Program in Mathematics at Smith College. Prior to Drake University, she was a visiting assistant professor at Trinity College and Smith College.

Her current research focuses on detecting partisan gerrymandering in Iowa.
