In order to be admitted to any of the B.F.A. Theatre Arts degree programs or the Musical Theatre minor, and to be considered for a Departmental Fine Arts scholarship award, prospective students are required to audition/present their portfolio either on campus at the Drake Theatre Audition Day or the National Unified Theatre Auditions. We strongly encourage student to apply and seek admission to Drake University BEFORE auditioning (we will not accept any student into our program until applications are completed with Drake University).

For students who llive more than 200 miles from Des Moines, online submission are also an option. Audition videos and/or portfolio materials must be submitted by Feb. 17, 2021 through getacceptd.com. Note that there is a fee for their service.

Deadline to upload your Audition/Portfolio materials is June 8th, 2020. Drake University Theatre Faculty will be scheduling virtual "call backs" June 23-25.
At ITF we will be holding callbacks; however, we will not be making offers for admission into any of the BFA programs at the festival. That will come at a later date.
Students need to officially apply to the University, be admitted and audition for a spot in the BFA program.
