Biography

Dr. Chuck Phillips does not believe that teaching necessarily equates to learning, nor does studying. Rather, he believes that learning takes place when we find something interesting and relevant enough to want to know more. His overarching philosophy is that his role as a teacher is to engage students so that they find the interest and relevance in the material that fuels their learning. This, in turn, allows them to retain the knowledge and use it throughout their lives.

Outside of Drake, Dr. Phillips enjoys golf, woodworking, and working outside. He is married to Dr. Janalyn Phillips and they share three children.
