Biography
Dr. Michael Andreski draws on his experience in pharmacy practice, education, and research to prepare students for the administrative and systems-based aspects of pharmacy. He emphasizes the importance of developing the infrastructure and processes that enable pharmacists to provide effective patient care and improve medication-related health outcomes.
Through his teaching, Dr. Andreski helps students understand how thoughtful pharmacy systems and administration can support better care, connecting the operational side of the profession to its ultimate goal: improving patients’ health and well-being.
Outside of teaching, Dr. Andreski spends his time with his wife Kara, a Drake Art graduate, and the five children and three grandchildren they share. He is a Des Moines native who grew up in the Drake neighborhood and went to Valley High School, and is now heavily involved in the community as a member of the West Des Moines School Board and as Treasurer for the Polk County Democratic Party.
