Nic Lehman has been with the Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences as a faculty member since 2011. In addition to his academic role, he serves as a clinical pharmacist at internal medicine clinics in the Des Moines area.
Dr. Lehman’s professional experience spans a range of clinical and academic settings. Prior to joining Drake, he worked as a Pharmacy Practice Specialist at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from 2005 to 2010, while also serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy during the same period. Earlier in his career, he practiced as a Pharmacy Clinician at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids from 2004 to 2005 and completed a Primary Care Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Iowa City VA Medical Center from 2003-2004.
Actively engaged in the profession, Dr. Lehman is a member of the Iowa Pharmacy Association and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. He has also completed the Iowa Pharmacy Association Immunization Certificate Program, demonstrating his commitment to advancing patient care services and public health initiatives.
Through his combined roles in teaching and clinical practice, Dr. Lehman brings real-world experience into the classroom, preparing student pharmacists to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a variety of healthcare settings.
