A fundraising campaign to advance Drake’s women student-athletes.
Elevate the IX is an initiative led by Drake Athletics to celebrate and advance the impact of women in Drake Athletics, and is a tribute to the nine NCAA Division I women’s sports at Drake.
Elevate the IX is designed to inspire the community to champion our women student-athletes through financial support of our nine Drake women’s teams. Our goals for Elevate the IX are to celebrate the achievements, past and present, of our women's athletics teams, increase awareness about our women's sports programs, and generate new funding sources to facilitate their success.
Gifts can be contributed to this fund which will support the immediate needs of our women’s sport programs as identified by our women’s sport head coaches, including:
Enhance nutrition, strength and conditioning, and recovery programs
Provide efficient and comfortable travel to competitions
Improve ability to schedule marquee non-conference opponents and postseason play
Provide performance equipment and apparel that reflects the excellence in our programs
