At Drake, students in theatre learn both in the traditional classroom as well as through workshops, labs, and performance venues. Additionally, students gain confidence through master classes, conferences, auditions, and professional experiences. Your support can enhance Drake’s theatre department directly; enable students to explore their passions and share their talents; and make the arts accessible to the community through performances and local partnerships.
Drake Theatre Productions has created a strong connection to the public for years. Community performances are the pinnacle event for students following their intensive series of learning experiences. Your contribution towards the Department of Theatre Arts, the William S. E. Coleman Studio Theatre, and the William S. E. Coleman Guest Artist Series, gives life to their vision and allows the theatre arts to flourish at Drake, in Des Moines, and beyond.
