The Office of the Registrar provides verification or proof of enrollment for loan deferments, insurance companies, potential employers, scholarships, schools, and other entities that need a student's enrollment verified for a particular period of time. Verification can only be provided for academic terms in which the student has completed registration.
Current students may request a Certificate of Enrollment by following the instructions here: Requesting an Enrollment Certificate.
Enrollment data is available on the National Student Clearinghouse approximately one month after the start of each academic term. If you need verification before that time, please email your request to registrar@drake.edu.
After the initial reporting, enrollment status continues to be updated on a monthly basis. Please note that changes to student status (e.g., moving from half-time to full-time) will not be immediately reflected in Clearinghouse reports.
Students who need official verification of having met their degree requirements may order their official transcript, which will include degree information once the degree has been posted to their record. Students are encouraged to check their unofficial transcript on Self Service prior to requesting a transcript. All transcripts will be sent immediately with current information at the time they are ordered.
The Office of the Registrar provides enrollment verification for official rosters of student athletic teams, clubs, and organizations. To ensure timely and efficient processing, please submit your request at least two weeks prior to the form due date. Please note that verification can only be provided for academic terms in which the student is officially registered.
Each student listed on the roster must include the following information:
Full name as registered at Drake University.
Drake ID number.
Student signature authorizing Drake University to release the requested information.
All requests for verification of enrollment or degree by third parties must be placed through the National Student Clearinghouse. Requests made directly to the Office of the Registrar will be referred to the Clearinghouse.
