Dr. Claire Muselman is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Leadership, Human Resources, and Organizational Behavior at Drake University’s Zimpleman College of Business. She also serves as the Faculty Director of Executive Education, where she leads programs designed for professionals and organizational leaders. Her teaching spans leadership, business strategy, human resources, organizational behavior, business communication, and personal branding. Drawing on behavioral science, neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and more than two decades of professional experience, she helps learners understand how people think, communicate, and perform at work. Her courses and programs are known for connecting research with practical tools leaders can apply immediately.
Dr. Muselman is a nationally recognized keynote speaker and serves as Chief Operating Officer of WorkersCompensation.com, bringing current executive experience in strategy, leadership, communication, and organizational performance to her teaching and program leadership. She serves as Dean of Workers’ Compensation for the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance’s Claims College and as a faculty member for Work Comp College. She is also an active supporter of Rising Insurance Star Executives (RISE) and The Risk & Insurance Research Academy, organizations dedicated to professional education and the development of emerging industry leaders.
At Drake, Dr. Muselman advises first-generation students, mentors entrepreneurs through the Drake Business Clinic, and oversees the Drake Dance Team. Her service beyond the university includes child advocacy through Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and leadership education through the National Leadership Academy (NLA) and Global Youth Leadership Academy (GYLA). These experiences allow her to support people across life stages, from young leaders and college students to executives and industry professionals. Her work is grounded in a commitment to helping people build confidence, strengthen relationships, and lead with greater self-awareness. Known for her vibrant and engaging approach, she brings energy, clarity, and purpose to classrooms, organizations, and communities.
