Add, Drop, and Refund Deadlines
The percent of tuition refunded is based on the date the class was dropped, the session of the course, and the student level/enrollment status. Fees are not refundable unless the course is dropped within the 100% refund window. The information below does not account for any financial aid adjustments. Before dropping any class students should contact the Financial Aid Office to discuss the possible impact dropping a class could have on their financial aid award.
You can read more about financial aid adjustments for complete withdrawals here. Academic policies and procedures related to adding and dropping classes can be found here.
If you are registered full-time as an undergraduate, Law, PharmD, OTD, MAT, or Bright College student and just dropping some, but not all of your classes, the refund rules may differ; please reach out tostuacct@drake.eduto discuss the impact of dropping a class in that situation. Also, if your session is not listed below and you would like to know the impact of dropping a class in that session, please reach out to Student Accounts atstuacct@drake.edu.
