For Those Whose Blood Runs Blue

The Drake University Bulldog Born program connects the children and grandchildren of Drake alumni to the University right from the start—and it celebrates the important milestones throughout their lives.

A Connection to Tradition

The Drake experience lasts a lifetime—forming an unbreakable bond between Bulldogs and the University. When you share this bond with your children or grandchildren, you're giving them a special and enduring gift. Additionally, it's estimated that applying to college as a legacy student can double or quadruple one's chances of getting into highly selective schools.

The Legacy Award

The Drake University Legacy Award is just one of the ways we celebrate the students who share the experience of a Drake education with a family member. The scholarship awards $2,500 per year toward undergraduate tuition for four years. This amount is not based on financial need, and is provided in addition to any other awards your future Bulldog may receive.

Drake has celebrated some of your biggest milestones with you, from birthdays to graduation, and now the birth of a new Bulldog, and we can't wait to celebrate them too. That's why every child enrolled in the free Bulldog Born program receives complimentary gifts to help commemorate their milestones too. Simply fill out the form to get started.
