Young Violinist Program

This program for children ages three through eight provides two types of instruction—a twenty-minute individual lesson and a thirty-minute group class lesson.

The Young Violinists present solo and/or group recitals during the fall and spring semesters.

The instructional content and activities include:

Learning children’s songs and pieces in the Suzuki style
Reading notation (separate from playing the violin)
Counting rhythms
Beginning theory
Practice performing
Group playing
