Get where you should be at your pace, fulfilling all learning and classroom requirements to guide your future students’ curiosity.

Teacher Intern Program

Get in the classroom and earn money faster. Complete your coursework in three semesters before dedicating yourself to a full-time, year-long paid teaching assignment in year two. At the end of your internship, you’ll earn your MAT and be eligible for full licensure.

Master of Arts in Teaching

Gain the tools you need for classroom success. After exploring the fundamentals, you’ll add courses focused on pedagogy in your endorsement area(s) and then complete your training through a 14-week mentored student teaching assignment.

Endorsements

Shape your training to match your interests or translate your current knowledge base to the classroom. Select from a wide range of options, including high-demand areas like math, science, special education, and ESL/ELL, to graduate with at least one endorsement area.

One-Year Internship

In the Teacher Intern Program, you’ll receive a teacher intern license after finishing all coursework and spend your second year as a teacher of record while receiving full salary and benefits.

14-Week Teaching Experience

The standard MAT program culminates in one semester of full-time teaching experience. With a full range of responsibilities, you’ll try out everything you’ve learned while receiving expert feedback and support.

Teacher Licensure

When you complete the program, you’ll be eligible for licensure as a middle or high school teacher. Faculty and staff help you navigate the process for a smooth transition to your new career.
