Graduate Non-Degree Registration Students

You are interested in taking Drake graduate classes as a visiting student

If you are interested in taking a course through Zimpleman College of Business or School of Journalism and Mass Communication, please email Dianna Gray dianna.gray@drake.edu. If you are interested in taking a course through the School of Education please apply here.

Eligible individuals may use the schedule of classes to determine which class is most appropriate. It may be necessary to provide documentation that any prerequisites have been met.

Currently Drake Law School and College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences do not accept non-degree seeking students at this time.

Application Requirements

  • Zimpleman College of Business
    • Only available to current graduate students looking to transfer Drake credits to their current program
    • Request form, transcripts from each institution attended, letter from current academic advisor stating they are in good standing with their program and that the course(s) they wish to complete is acceptable for transfer to their current program
    • If you are an alum of Zimpleman's MBA, MACC, MPA, or MSBA programs, you are also eligible to take courses as non-degree seeking
  • School of Journalism and Mass Communication
    • Request form & copy of degree-posted transcript
  • School of Education
    • Request form

Course Registration Limits

  • School of Journalism and Mass Communication allows for up to 9 credits
  • School of Education and Zimpleman College of Business allows up to 6 credits
