Student Organizations

Zimpleman students can engage in a variety of academic, professional, and leadership-focused organizations that enhance classroom learning and build career-ready skills.

Drake's chapter of the American Marketing Association in the Zimpleman College of Business is a nationally affiliated collegiate chapter dedicated to the professional development and education of future marketing professionals. The group hosts monthly events featuring prominent regional and national professional marketers. Zimpleman AMA members attend seminars and field trips and are involved with philanthropic activities. Zimpleman's AMA hosts an annual Speed Networking event that provides students with the opportunity to meet over 50 marketing professionals.

AMA members have participated in the creation of integrated marketing communication strategies for Coca-Cola for over 14 years. This has been a signature opportunity to put students' talents before regional and national executives and influence many of the promotion strategies of Coca-Cola products.

Zimpleman AMA members have partnered with Coca-Cola to work on:

  • Coke Zero Sugar
  • Coca-Cola with coffee
  • Smartwater
  • Flavored Diet Coke
  • Dasani Sparkling
  • Diet Coke
  • Powerade
  • Vitamin Water
  • Coca-Cola Classic
  • and more...
