Division I Athletic Scholarships are offered to outstanding student athletes in both men's and women's sports. Men's scholarships are awarded in basketball, soccer, track and field, cross-country, golf and tennis. Awards are based on a variety of criteria depending on the type of scholarship and are not based on financial need.
Scholarship Details
Athletic scholarships are available for athletes in the sports of basketball, soccer, track & field, cross-country, golf, tennis, rowing, softball, and volleyball. Students interested in competing at Drake can find more information atgodrakebulldogs.com.
Athletic scholarship recipients must be degree-seeking students and be otherwise eligible to compete in the NCAA. Students receiving athletic scholarships are not eligible for theDrake Grant.
In accordance with Pioneer Football League rules, athletic scholarships are not available for football.
All scholarships require full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 credit hours per semester) and satisfactory academic progress. Individual scholarships may have additional eligibility or application requirements.
Undergraduate scholarships are available only to students enrolled at the undergraduate level, for up to 4 years total or until a Bachelor's degree is earned (whichever comes first). Students entering one of Drake's joint undergraduate/graduate degree paths should refer toProgram-Specific Policiesto understand which years are designated as undergraduate-level for billing and financial aid purposes. Scholarships will renew automatically if all renewal requirements are satisfied.
