Professional Coating Ceremonies

Coating ceremonies have been a symbolic milestone for College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences students since 1988. These ceremonies mark the beginning of a journey for Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Pharmacy students as they transition into their professional programs.

Nursing White Coat Ceremony

At this ceremony, students will receive their traditional white coats and name tags and read the Nursing Pledge of Professionalism with their cohort before their families and friends. More information on the 2027 Nursing White Coat Ceremony will be available closer to the event.

Occupational Therapy Blue Coat Ceremony

For OTD students, the blue coat honors the pioneers of the profession, who wore slate blue uniforms when they served in World War I. At this ceremony, students will receive their blue coats and name tags and read the Occupational Therapy Pledge of Professionalism with their cohort before their families and friends. More information on the 2027 Occupational Therapy Blue Coat Ceremony will be available closer to the event.
