Investigators, adjudicators and other personnel involved in the process of investigating, responding, coordinating or otherwise assisting in the adjudication of complaints of sexual harassment will receive training as required on the topics of:
Impartiality
Avoiding prejudgment of facts at issue
Conflicts of interest and bias
The University's grievance process
Issues of relevance and evidence
The scope of the University's educational programs and activities
Types of sexual harassment
University investigators will also be trained in writing investigative reports, and decision-makers will be trained in conducting hearings, writing decisions, and using the technology used in hearings. The following materials were utilized to ensure that the above-mentioned relevant personnel have been trained on issues related to sexual harassment and on how to conduct an investigation and hearing process that protects the rights, well-being, and safety of the parties, provides an equitable process for all parties involved, and promotes accountability.
