Monthly Pet Therapy
Therapy dogs can help improve calmness, mood, and overall wellness, especially when experiencing stress. Many students feel disconnected from their pets when returning to campus or separating from them in any capacity. We encourage you to join the Drake Counseling Center and Animal Rescue League to spend time relaxing through connecting with available therapy dogs.

Lecture Support
Lecture Support is a new programming offering for faculty/staff members who want to engage their students with mental health education and resources. BDSCC clinicians will provide critical information about the BDSCC and our services while also providing meaningful psychoeducation on topics that are relevant to college and young adults.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help.
In collaboration with Student Senate, Broadlawns Drake Counseling Center, and NAMI On Campus
Join us for an opportunity to relax, cope, and enjoy therapy dogs in preparation for Midterms and Finals. Free food and mental health crisis kits will be available for all students in attendance.
