Drake operates its own evening safe ride bus. The bus runs throughout both the Fall and Spring semesters, and is available to all members of the University community free of charge.
Safe Ride Bus - Hours of Operation
Sunday – Wednesday: 8:00 pm – 1:00 am
Thursday – Saturday: 8:00 pm – 2:30 am
The bus operates between 24th -34th street from Cottage Grove to College Ave. Every corner is a bus stop for pick-up along with the cut out in front of the Library on University and the Olmsted Lot in front of the Olmsted Center. DART Bus Services
As an additional note - Drake students are also allowed to ride the City of Des MoinesDART bus systemfree of charge with their Drake ID card. Feel free to utilize these services for areas outside of the Safe Ride routes.
