Welcome to Residence Life at Drake University. The Office of Residence Life (ORL) is committed to empowering students in their personal growth and development while providing them with support and opportunities for involvement.
The overriding goal of ORL is to align the residence education structure with that of the University to provide an intentional, progressive, and dynamic student experience.
Residence Life is committed to providing comfortable, welcoming, and safe housing options for all students, including those identifying as LGBTQIA+. We encourage and welcome those who identify as transgender to work with Residence Life in order to find the most reasonable and comfortable housing, regardless of the identifying gender of prospective roommates.
