We strive to connect students with the surrounding Drake neighborhood and the entire Des Moines area. There are a variety of transportation options that students may access if desired.

Getting to Des Moines

The Des Moines Airport (airport code: DSM) serves as the gateway to Des Moines and to the beautiful State of Iowa.  As the largest airport in Iowa, located in the capital city, DSM welcomes people from across the country and beyond. Six commercial airlines offer service from DSM (American, Allegiant, Delta, Frontier, Southwest and United).

It is an 18 min trip via vehicle (6 miles from the Drake campus).

There are no busses or shuttles from the Drake University campus to the DSM airport. Students will utilize friends, Uber or Lyft, or a Yellow Cab to get to the airport.
