Our organization focuses on service, fellowship, and leadership, with service being our biggest pillar and commitment. We hope to collaborate with other groups around campus and the community and put on our own events with these pillars in mind.
DUDM is a fundraising organization that raises money and awareness for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital! We plan fun events for students and our Miracle Families to partake in throughout the year! We hold fundraising events throughout the year and have educational sessions on the best fundraising methods for participants.
NAMI on Campus Drake University accomplishes the following missions and goals: develop and implement educational events and seminars to increase awareness surrounding mental health amongst students, faculty, and administrators; organize campus-wide events to combat stigmas associated with mental health; host campus-wide de-stress events; and promote access to on- and off- campus resources. Therefore, the impact that our group has on the Drake community is educational and resourceful to ensure equal access and support to mental health services for students of all demographic backgrounds.
Next Course strives to combat food waste by recovering food from Hubbell and the surrounding cafés on campus. We strive to create an environmental impact by preventing waste, but also a social impact by working with our community partners.
